Leemu OKR integrates seamlessly with Slack, bringing your OKR management directly into your team's communication hub. This guide covers everything you need to know about using Leemu in Slack.Overview

The Leemu Slack app allows you to:

  • View your OKR dashboard directly in Slack
  • Submit check-ins without leaving Slack
  • Receive notifications and reminders
  • Search and browse objectives
  • Get team and company summaries
  • Use slash commands for quick actions
Getting StartedFor Workspace Admins

Installing the Leemu App:

  1. Go to Settings > Workspace > Integrations in Leemu
  2. Find "Slack" and click Connect Slack
  3. You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the app
  4. Select your Slack workspace
  5. Review and approve the permissions
  6. Click Allow to complete the installation
  7. Configure notification channels and user mappings

Permissions Required:

  • Send messages to channels and DMs
  • Read channel information
  • Post interactive messages
  • Access user profile information (for auto-linking accounts)
For Individual Users

Once your admin has installed the Leemu app, you can start using it immediately. Your Slack account will be automatically linked to your Leemu account if you use the same email address.

If your account isn't linked:

  1. Open the Leemu app in Slack
  2. Go to the Home tab
  3. Click Sign Up or Sign In to connect your account
  4. Contact your admin if you need manual linking
App Home Tab

The App Home tab is your personal OKR dashboard in Slack. Access it by:

  1. Click on "Apps" in Slack's sidebar
  2. Find and click "Leemu"
  3. Select the "Home" tab
Dashboard Features

Overview Stats:

  • Overall progress across all your OKRs
  • Number of active objectives
  • Total key results
  • Check-ins submitted this week

Active Objectives:

  • See your top objectives at a glance
  • Progress bars with status indicators (green/yellow/red)
  • Warnings for key results needing updates
  • Quick "View" buttons to open in Leemu

Quick Actions:

  • Check-in - Submit a progress update
  • Dashboard - Open your full Leemu dashboard
  • New OKR - Create a new objective
  • Refresh - Update the dashboard with latest data
Status Indicators
  • 🟢 Green (70%+): On track
  • 🟡 Yellow (40-69%): At risk, needs attention
  • 🔴 Red (0-39%): Off track, requires action
Slash Commands

Leemu provides powerful slash commands for quick access to your OKRs.

Main Command: /okr

The /okr command is your primary interface. Use it with subcommands:

View your status:

/okr status

Shows all your active objectives with progress bars and key results.

Submit a check-in:

/okr checkin

Opens a modal to select a key result and update its value.

List objectives with filter:

/okr list active /okr list completed /okr list my

Search for objectives:

/okr search revenue /okr search customer satisfaction

View summaries:

/okr summary me # Your personal summary /okr summary team # Your team's summary /okr summary company # Company-wide summary Submitting Check-ins

One of the most powerful features is the ability to submit check-ins directly from Slack.

Using the Check-in Modal
  1. Type /okr checkin or click Check-in in the App Home
  2. Select a key result from the dropdown
  3. Click Continue
  4. Enter the new value for your key result
  5. Add optional notes about your progress
  6. Select a confidence level (On Track / At Risk / Off Track)
  7. Click Submit Check-in
Check-in Confirmation

After submitting, you'll receive a confirmation message showing:

  • The key result updated
  • Previous value → New value
  • Updated progress percentage
  • Your notes (if provided)
@Mentions and Direct Messages

You can interact with Leemu by mentioning it or sending direct messages.

Mention Commands

In any channel where Leemu is present:

Send a DM to Leemu for:

  • status or progress - View your OKRs

Notifications

Leemu can send various notifications to keep you informed.

Notification Types

Check-in Reminders:

  • Weekly reminders to update your key results
  • Configurable schedule and frequency

Deadline Alerts:

  • Notifications before objective deadlines
  • Reminders for upcoming milestones

Progress Updates:

  • When team members update shared objectives
  • Significant progress changes

Achievements:

  • When objectives are completed
  • When key results hit their targets
Configuring Notifications

Admins can configure notifications in Settings > Integrations > Slack:

  1. Default Channel: General notifications
  2. Team Channels: Map teams to specific channels
  3. Notification Types: Enable/disable specific notifications
  4. Reminder Schedule: Set reminder frequency
User Account Linking

For the best experience, your Slack account should be linked to your Leemu account.

Automatic Linking

Leemu automatically links accounts when:

  • Your Slack email matches your Leemu email
  • You interact with the app while logged into Leemu
Manual Linking (For Admins)

If automatic linking doesn't work:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack
  2. Find User Mappings section
  3. Map Slack users to Leemu users manually
Checking Your Link Status
  1. Open the Leemu app in Slack
  2. Go to the Home tab
  3. If you see your dashboard, you're linked
  4. If you see the welcome screen, follow the setup instructions
TroubleshootingCommon Issues

"Account not linked" message:

  • Sign in to Leemu with the same email as Slack
  • Contact your admin for manual linking
  • Try the /okr-help command for options

Commands not working:

  • Ensure the Leemu app is installed in your workspace
  • Check if you're in a channel where the bot is present
  • Try reinstalling/reconnecting the app

Not receiving notifications:

  • Verify integration is active in Leemu settings
  • Check Slack notification settings
  • Ensure the bot is invited to your channels

App Home showing errors:

  • Click the Refresh button to reload
  • Check your internet connection
  • Contact support if the issue persists
Error States

Account Deactivated: Your Leemu account has been deactivated. Contact your admin.

Organization Suspended: Your organization's account has issues. Contact billing admin.

Subscription Issue: There may be a payment or plan issue. Check with your admin.

Connection Error: Temporary issue. Try refreshing or wait a few moments.
