What is AI Co-Author?Note: In the app, this feature is called "AI Co-Author" and can be accessed from the sidebar navigation.
AI Co-Author uses advanced artificial intelligence to help you:
- Generate OKR proposals based on your goals
- Refine and improve existing OKRs
- Suggest relevant key results
- Provide best practice guidance
- Draft strategic objectives
- Analyze and optimize your OKR structure
Navigate to AI Co-Author from the main menu to:
- Start new conversations
- View conversation history
- Review past proposals
- Continue previous sessions
AI features consume tokens based on usage:
- Tokens: Units measuring AI usage
- Each interaction consumes tokens based on complexity
- Token limits vary by subscription plan
- Tokens reset monthly (on your billing cycle)
Typical Token Costs:
- Simple question: 100-500 tokens
- OKR generation: 500-1,500 tokens
- Conversation thread: 1,000-5,000 tokens
- Complex analysis: 2,000-10,000 tokens
- Navigate to Settings > Billing
- View "AI Usage" section:
- Tokens used this month
- Total token allowance
- Percentage used
- Reset date
FREE Plan:
- Limited tokens per month
- Basic AI features
- Simple generations
STANDARD Plan:
- Moderate token allowance
- Full AI features
- Multiple conversations
PREMIUM Plan:
- High token allowance
- Priority processing
- Advanced features
- Extensive usage
When you reach your token limit:
- AI features are disabled until next reset
- You receive notification warning
- Consider upgrading plan for more tokens
- Tokens reset on billing cycle date
- Navigate to Copilot
- Click "New Conversation"
- You'll see:
- Chat interface
- Message input box
- Conversation title (auto-generated)
- Team selector (optional)
Describe what you want to achieve:
Good Examples:
- "Help me create OKRs for growing our customer base"
- "I want to improve our product quality metrics"
- "Generate objectives for our engineering team this quarter"
- "How can we measure customer satisfaction better?"
Less Effective:
- "Help me" (too vague)
- "OKR" (not specific)
- Single word prompts
Provide context for better results:
Include:
- Your role and team
- Current situation or baseline
- Target timeframe (quarter, year)
- Constraints or resources
- Previous attempts or challenges

Proposal Components:
- Objective Title: Main goal
- Objective Description: Detailed context
- Key Results: Measurable outcomes
- Each with unit type, direction, and target
- Timeline: Suggested timeframe
- Level: Company, Team, or Personal
- Rationale: Why this OKR matters
Example Proposal:

Ask for Modifications:
- "Make the targets more ambitious"

- "Simplify the language"
Iterate: The AI will adjust based on your feedback.
Working with ProposalsAccepting a ProposalWhen you're happy with a proposal:
- Review all details carefully
- Click "Accept Proposal"
- Modify if needed:
- Adjust target values
- Change owners
- Update timeline
- Edit descriptions
- Click "Create OKR" or "Save as Draft"
What Happens:
- Proposal is converted to actual OKR
- Created in appropriate section (Company/Team/Personal)
- Status set to Draft (you can activate when ready)
- Linked to conversation for reference
If a proposal isn't useful:
- Click "Reject Proposal"
- Optionally provide feedback
- Request a new proposal with different parameters
Proposals remain in conversation history for future reference.
Editing Before CreatingYou can modify the proposal before creating:
- In the proposal view, click "Edit"
- Change any fields:
- Objective title or description
- Key result metrics or targets
- Timeline or level
- Click "Create from Edited Proposal"
Improve OKRs you've already created:
From Objective View:
- Open an existing objective
- Click "Enhance with AI" (if available)
- AI analyzes and suggests improvements:
- More measurable key results
- Clearer objective wording
- Better alignment suggestions
- Additional key results

- Navigate to Copilot
- Click on the conversation from list
- Conversation history loads
- Add new messages
- Context from previous messages is maintained

Auto-Generated:
- System creates title from first message
- Usually descriptive enough
Manual Edit:
- Open conversation
- Click on title

Good Titles:

Keep your list organized:
- Open conversation list
- Find conversation to archive
- Click "..." menu
- Select "Archive"
Archived conversations:
- Removed from main list
- Still accessible via "Archived" filter
- Preserved indefinitely
- Can be unarchived anytime
Permanently remove conversations:
- Open conversation
- Click "..." menu
- Select "Delete"
- Confirm deletion
